Reports to: Senior Designer

To create sketches detailing the design and creation of high quality products (CAD) for presentation to the customer by Development Coordinator
To provide detailed specification sheets to support construction and production of products
Conducts research and sources new products to be used to inform the design direction
Trouble shoot lead time delays during the design process

Delivery of 100% correct innovative and quality artwork (CAD) and specification sheets against a brief received
Clear and concise communication between all departments within the company
Lead times met within the design process
Timeous delivery of any changes to artwork to facilitate on time delivery of the order

Receive emails from Development Coordinator for new artworks daily and prioritise by delivery date required
Manage turnaround of artwork from receipt of email in 24 hours
Receive emails from Quoting Administrators, prioritise and manage turnaround of artwork from receipt of mails in 24 minutes
Complete CADS for Import and Local CMT production including full specifications and measurements

Effectively communicate and manage internal leadtimes for quoting, design of artwork, sampling and client approvals.
Develops an effective network of communication to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activity
Manage any interpersonal relations issues which may arise within your team

Ability to manage own activities
Prioritize own duties and tasks and assist in the adjustment of priorities when appropriate to ensure that work is completed on time
Uses time effectively and prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion
Clearly conveys information and ideas to colleagues
Ensures that all written information is clear and concise
Builds due dates into assignments and task delegations and communicates milestones and expected results
Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
Self-starter – ability to work unsupervised, manage own time and activities
Solid organizational skills
Must have a degree or be in the process of finishing a degree with design background
Funky and passionate about design and must be very creative.
Can work with design programs Creative Suite as well as comfortable on Windows and Email
Be well spoken and presentable as well as being able to work with a team.
Take orders and work to the best of their ability.
Be prepared to work to meet tight deadlines which may entail working later hours if needed
Has a driving license of transport
Has a basic understanding of trends and fashion
Work closely with Senior Designer on capturing ranges, research, completing design packs and CADS
